Title:
US Sesquicentennial Cookie Tin
Description:
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the United States, the Sesquicentennial Exposition was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1926. Thirty nations participated, but due to heavy rain that plagued the Expo, it was less successful than its centennial predecessor.

This commemorative cookie tin is labeled "Sesqui—Cookies." It has a sliding lid on which is printed the manufacturer, Ivins, and an image of the Liberty Bell. The front side features an image of Independence Hall. The reverse side features Philadelphia landmarks: the Free Library, City Hall Tower, the Delaware River Bridge, and the Art Gallery.
