Egyptian Scarab Amulets
Description:

Scarab amulets were quite popular in ancient Egypt first appearing around 2100 BCE and continuing all the way up to Greek and Roman times. The scarab was a symbol of the sun god Re and of rebirth. Though the original collector may have thought these were genuine antiquities they are actually clay reproductions made for the tourist trade.
