Title:
Communion Cup Filler
Description:
The Plymouth Congregational Church was originally founded in 1871 as the Congregational Church. The current church building at Fairfield and Berry Streets is the fourth building used by the congregation and was completed in 1924. This communion wine cup filler was used to fill twenty-two communion cups with wine in one pour. A circular tray with small empty cups would have been placed against the wood base. The metal trough would be filled with wine and then tipped so the wine flowed down each groove and into the cups below.
