The motor is a Form B (Explosion-Proof); Cutaway. Made in Fort Wayne 1947. Original display card missing, but the picture displays the card. "This 1/4 cutaway of a Form B explosion proof motor was manufactured at Taylor Street, Fort Wayne, in November 1947. The cutaway is to illustrate the Interior design. An Explosion Proof rating means that if some gas inside the motor were to be ignited by a spark inside the motor, there will be not enough hot gases to escape to the outside of the motor to ignite any gases there" Model 5KC47AB1696A.
